Having been away from the computer for a few days, for one reason or another, it has been a few days of reflection.
What is really important to you in your life? I suppose that changes with each phase you enter, but as you sit here reading this, what is it that gives you the motivation to start each day, and indeed sometimes gives you the spark to finish each day?
It was my eldest's graduation yesterday. I have to say I was anxious about the day for so many reasons, but despite the rain, it was an absolutely fabulous day. When we got home I sat and thought about the events of the day. There was a couple of people who I would have loved to have been there to celebrate who couldn't be with us, but for the most part, I had everyone I loved the most in one room, (the waiters excluded!). Every one of those people who sat with me has played such a big role in my journey, and for a brief moment in time, we were all together. Quite a breathtaking moment in time to be honest. So I guess it's those people who give me my reason. It's not about how much money I have in the bank, even though that helps, it's not about the clothes on our backs, or even what I am going to put under the Christmas tree this year. It's about each one of those people who sat with me celebrating one of the most important events in not only my child's life but mine too.
A snippet in time maybe, but they are so important to remember when times are tough. There is always a reason to keep fighting. There's always a reason to keep searching for the light that guides us in darker times. We just need to take a moment and look. They are there I promise you.
